The Position
The Director of Enrollment Management is responsible for the recruitment, selection, and enrollment of qualified students with and diverse abilities, backgrounds and cultures, and retention of current students who will benefit from and contribute to the life of Notre Dame Academy. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive year-round admission and retention program that promotes and markets the Academy by informing external constituencies, including prospective students, families, middle school counselors & teachers, and community-based organizations. The Director will embrace, support, and represent the mission and values of Notre Dame Academy while working collaboratively with other administrators, faculty, and staff to make enrollment a campus-wide priority and ensure that annual enrollment goals are met or exceeded.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and implements long and short-term enrollment and retention strategies to ensure each class enrollment and retention goals are met throughout the year.
- Recruits and retains qualified students whose character aligns with the Hallmarks of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
- Collaborates with the Office of Advancement to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan with varied and creative media and targeted events to promote the Academy.
- Coordinates and implements ongoing internal and external programs, events, and activities that develop and maintain continued interest and visibility for students, families, and NDA.
- Effectively represents NDA in the community, networking and cultivating relationships to recruit and admit prospective students from diverse experiences and backgrounds to assist in the recruiting process.
- Engages and coordinates faculty, staff, administrators, students, parents, and alum in support of admission and retention.
- Cultivates relationships with school leaders, teachers, counselors, placement personnel at other schools.
- Tracks and maintains customer relationship management data and provides transparent reports on prospective students.
- Provides enrollment forecasting, including local trends and relevant statistics throughout the admission and re-enrollment process.
- Partners with the Principal to establish admissions standards, admissions policies, and process for evaluating and making decisions on all applicants.
- Ensures an efficient and confidential management of applications and related student information.
- Collaborates with the Principal, Director of Finance and Administration and the Chief Advancement Officer to implement scholarship programs and determine award distribution.
- Partners with Director of Finance and Administration to develop tuition and financial aid policies designed to maximize new student enrollment and current student retention.
- Performs other duties as assigned that contribute to the success of NDA.
- Reports to the HOS/Principal; submits regular report on status of enrollment, attrition, potential candidates, impending activities, events and concerns; reports to Board of Trustees as directed by HOS/Principal
Essential Characteristics
The candidate is an experienced professional and collaborative leader with strong interpersonal skills, who is energized by working with prospective students and families and broader central Massachusetts community members. The ideal candidate can serve as an authentic and compelling ambassador for the mission and values of Notre Dame Academy, including the vision of the academic program as student-centered, including active and applied “real-world” learning, congruent with and compatible with what we know about best practices in the dynamic, fast-changing, interconnected world of the 21st century. The successful candidate will have:
- Ability to both lead and execute goals.
- Experience in the field of education and a demonstrable understanding of contemporary best practices (an understanding of student-centered learning and practices, curriculum and assessment design, and some of the issues and initiatives in the field, i.e., inquiry-based and/or project-based curriculum, proficiency-based grading, authentic assessment, etc.
- Outstanding judgment, maturity, and professionalism.
- High level of energy, creativity, and flexibility.
- Exceptional communication skills as a listener, writer and speaker who can connect authentically.
- Goal-oriented with an entrepreneurial approach, including solutions to complex issues.
- An ability to inspire, motivate, and engage others in the school community.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in admissions and/or marketing and communications, preferably at a Higher Ed institution or private secondary school is preferred.
- Experience with successful execution of marketing strategy and brand management.
- Experience working with a social media, e-communication and print collateral.
- Experience working with integrated technology applications in an educational setting is preferred.
- Excellent time management, project management and analytical skills.
- Requires some work in the evenings and weekends. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel throughout central Massachusetts.

WORK SCHEDULE: The Director of Enrollment Management is a 12-month position.
REPORTS TO: The Director of Enrollment Management reports to the Principal.

Varsity Field Hockey Coach

Position Summary
Notre Dame Academy is seeking a dynamic and competitive coach to lead the high school field hockey program. NDA coaches are actively engaged in the community, and embrace both the mission and values of St Julie Billiart, the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur and the Academy. The role of the Varsity Field Hockey Coach is to be responsible for coaching, character development and providing direction to student athletes so that they might achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork in field hockey. This job requires you to interact thoughtfully and respectfully with student athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents and community as well as follow the mission of the school. Positive communication strategies, organizational skills, and safety awareness are key requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Following and upholding the policies and mission statement of Notre Dame Academy and communicating the vision of the Notre Dame Academy program to athletes and parents
- Oversee the development of all levels of the field hockey program.
- Must be able to travel with team with NDA issued transportation
- Instructing and demonstrating skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team development.
- Coordinating parent meetings, tryouts, daily practice planning, game management, off season programming and community engagement
- Work closely with the athletic director to ensure all school policies/procedures are being followed as it relates to athletic programs (eligibility, parent meetings, registrations, tryouts, scheduling, equipment inventory/collection, off season training programs etc.)
- Work directly with the athletic director in reporting injuries, teaching precautions and procedures to ensure staff/student safety and help students prevent injuries.
- Create a safe environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
- Ability to represent NDA appropriately to the NDA school community, local field hockey community, press and broader community
- Understand the necessary commitment, expectations and pressures associated with being the head coach in a well-supported program.

Job Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- High school level (or higher) coaching experience preferred.
- NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Certification
- First Aid / CPR / AED certification
- Completion of the NFHS Concussion in Sports Course
- Must be available for practice and game times which begin around 3:30pm daily during the week and travel with the team on NDA bus issued transportation.
- Understanding of and compliance with all MIAA/NFHS regulations and expectations
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Works in an environment with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts
- Capable of moving and performing basic skill demonstrations during practice
- Able to carry equipment to and from sites throughout the season
